Facebook™’s Pixel has been around quite a while, yet so many business have yet to take advantage of it’s awesomeness. When I mention, most people just don’t know such a powerful tool exists or how to use it.

When I start with, “it’s coding that…”, I see heads exploding ‘cause you know, nobody likes code. But THIS code…this code you will love. This code will make your life easier. This code will work when you can’t. This code will make you money!

What it does is sit in the backend of your website, and tracks actions your visitors make. You know when you visit Amazon, add something (that you probably don’t need) to your cart, but don’t buy it? Then, later that day you are on Facebook™ and see an ad for it. After that, you are reading an online news article and see another ad for it. That dumb item is going to now follow you around the internet, hoping you’ll come to your senses and buy it. That is one of the powers of the pixel.

It is an analytics tool that allows you to measure the effectiveness of your advertising, and make future decisions about it, by understanding the actions people take once on your website.

You can use the pixel to:

  • Ensure your ads are shown to the right people: Find new customers, or people who have visited a specific page or taken a desired action on your website.

  • Warm your audience and create new ones: Use retargeting to warm cold leads who visit your site, allowing them to see your content over and over so they familiarize themselves with your brand. You can also use it to create custom and lookalike audiences, which can be gold mines for leads.

  • Measure the results of your ads. Better understand the impact of your ads by measuring what happens when people see them.
